Does Varik replace PagerDuty?
No. Your schedules stay in PagerDuty. Varik helps teammates arrange cover in Slack, then creates the override in PagerDuty.
Who receives a coverage request?
Varik sends requests to eligible participants on the schedule, matched between Slack and PagerDuty by email.
What happens if nobody accepts?
The request closes when its deadline passes, or when all recipients decline. Your existing PagerDuty assignment stays in place.
What do I need to get started?
A Slack workspace and a PagerDuty account with your on-call schedules. Install Varik in Slack, then an admin can connect PagerDuty using a write-enabled API key.
